    SHOOTING RANGE

The range is not open to the public and is authorized for law enforcement officers only. The range is located on the property north of the Law Enforcement Center. The range encompasses approximately 15 acres for training. It can be utilized in all conditions - day, night and even in adverse weather. The range has different types of areas that will accommodate different training for handgun, rifle, machinegun and gas dispersion rounds. The rifle range has a limited range out to 200 yards. There are several pistol ranges with range firing lines for 1 to 50 yards. All pistol ranges have 20 firing points. The rifle range has up to 12 firing points. There is also a range that has metal targets that will accept different handgun rounds. Located next to the classroom is a shoot house. It is used for close quarters and room-to-room training. The classroom has seen several upgrades over the last couple of years. The classroom will accommodate up to 30 officers and is equipped with a PowerPoint projector and other classroom training aids. If you are from another agency and need to speak to the Range Master. Contact him at:
